Today, we’re going to discuss about the App Market Insight menu and how it can help you have better analysis and decisions for your app’s growth.
Questions this article will answer:
- What are the features and benefits of App Market Insight menu if ASO index?
- What is the Market Ranking feature and how does it help?
- What information can I get from the Rank Ups and Rank Downs menu?
The last menu of ASO index is the App Market Insight where there are four parts – Market Ranking, Rank Ups, Rank Downs, and App Explorer.
This page provides you a list of ranking apps on a specific category and country you choose. You can use the filter on the upper right hand corner of the table with the category, and choose a country from Japan, South Korea or the United States. You can also filter it by date if you want to see the ranking of the past dates as well.
The “graph” button lets you check out the details of the apps. You can also download the market data as a CSV file.
Rank Ups lets you discover apps that have risen in the ranking ladder lately in a specific category and country. Same as Market Ranking, you can use the filter on the upper right hand corner of the table with the category, and choose a country from Japan, South Korea or the United States. You can also filter it by date if you want to see the ranking of the past dates as well. Click the graph button beside each app to have a closer look at the app’s metadata and other information.
This gives you an opportunity to observe other apps that are doing the right thing on the app stores. Observe what they’re doing right so you can get an idea on what to improve on with your app.
Rank Downs, on the other hand, lets you discover apps that have gone down the ladder lately in a specific category and country.
What are these apps doing wrong that made them rank down? Observe and find out on the apps showing up on the Rank Downs menu so that you’d know what to watch out for and avoid doing.
App Explorer literally lets you explore apps of your interest. But here is the fun part. You don’t have to search by an app’s title. You can simply enter a keyword.
The search result is exactly the same as the result of entering the keyword in App Store or Play Store – only it is easier to check the result apps’ metadata as well as their creatives at a glance.
On this tab, you can explore apps that are related to the keyword you just searched. It is also arranged by ranking – so you’d know which ones to pay attention more onto.
If you click the “graph” button, you get to check the app’s information. This way you don’t have to register all the apps that you want to know more about on your list; you can simply explore them and get insights that we are looking for.
Here, on the other hand, shows you the Creatives of the apps from the searched keyword. Creative research just got a lot easier. No more looking up apps one by one. Here you can just scroll down for apps, and scroll left to right to view screenshots. You can also just click the graph button beside the app’s name to have a quick glance to any app that caught your attention.
